General Motors is getting ready to introduce on the market in November 2010 together with the 20100 Chevy Volt the new 230-mpg Chevy Volt charger.
Every Volt will be sold with one of these two charges: a 240V unit (pictured below) that will require installation into a powerful connection or a 120V portable charging unit that will work perfectly plugged into any regular outlet in the garage.
It’s obvious that the former is a lot stronger than the portable unit but the needs of each customer are different. Also, you should know that options for you are also the coiled orange cord on the 240V and the regular straight cord but we have a year ahead of us so… who knows what will happen next?!

The American consumption has different standards than the rest of the globe especially if you compare their levels with the Asian ones. That’s one of the reasons why Alfa Romeo decided to keep their petite MiTo only for themselves considering it to be too small for US. Too bad because this is a very pretty car and the only 150 special Imola Edition MiTos will stay home.
The Imola yellow – painted vehicle will run on 18-inch wheels and will feature beautiful chromed mirror caps, red brake calipers and Pelle Frau leather.
We’ll keep you posted with more info on pricing and release date.

BMV is planning to amaze everyone at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show but the top of the spear will be the 50th anniversary of the famous Mini.
In order to celebrate this event, Mini will invite the SE 50 Mayfair and 50 Camden to the party and will get a special placard on the nose and ear-splitting audio system.
In addition to all that, the stands will show off the entire Rolls-Royce line (Ghost incl.) next to BMW’s Efficient Dynamics fleet including the ActiveHybrid 7 and Active Hybrid X6 models.
Have fun and don’t forget to wish MINI Happy birthday!

Even if MJ Acquisitions is currently facing a lawsuit with Steve Saleen, the new Saleen Performance Vehicles Company just unveiled the first Mustang model under this disputed name.
When it comes to visual changes, the car looks a lot like Racecraft’s 2008 420S Mustang but according to Saleen’s CEO Mike Shield they wanted to introduce an affordable car to the market.
The 435S Mustang features a Saleen Series VI twin-screw supercharger with a 4.6-liter V8 delivering 435 lb-ft of torque and 435 horsepower matched to a 5-speed manual and 3.73:1 gears.
In addition to all that the car runs on a sport-tuned suspension package and 14-inch brakes up front. If that’s simply not enough for your taste you should know that Saleen will also release on the market an Aero Package including Saleen’s graphics. A chin spoiler and rear wing and 18-inch alloy wheels.
For the time being the price is yet to be determined but if the suppositions are correct we should see this car available with a $40,000 price tag.

The 2010 Chevy Camaro Transformers Special Edition has just been officially introduced on the market today at Comic-Con. The appearance package is priced at $995 and it can be applied to to LT (V6) and SS-trim Camaros in Rally Yellow. In exchange for your money you’ll receive Transformers-logo doorsill plates, an embroidered Autobot insignia on the center console, gloss-black rally stripes with Transformers logos and Autobot insignia fender badges and wheel caps.
If you’re dreaming about the Bumblebee you saw in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen then you should take a cold shower because the package is nothing like that. Also, the performances of the car remain the same to the classic 304, 400 or 426 horsepower.
But if you really want a Bumblebee in your garage you should know that for an extra $470 you can buy yourself a Rally Yellow car with plain black rally stripes.

We all love Ferrari cars but unfortunately Maranello didn’t exceed in terms of long-term reliability. If you own a sexy Italian car like an older Ferrari, Maserati or Lamborghini you should know how hard it can be to find a good service especially if your car stops in the middle of the road. That’s why the red car manufacturer is getting ready to announce a new Roadside Assistance service.
For the moment this will only work in Italy but if everything goes according to plan it will spread very fast through the rest of Europe. Any Ferrari built since 1947 that isn’t covered by a current warranty will benefit for this 12 months-free program. To be more precise, this comprises towing services but it also covers the travel expenses for the road home or to an authorized service facility.
We don’t know how much these services will cost after that 1 year period will expire and also if the program will be expanded to the US but as soon as Ferrari leaks any information we’ll let you know.

The most affordable model signed by MINI is getting ready to visit the UK. This new two-door MINI First is available only in hatchback form. With a combined fuel consumption of 53.3 miles-per-gallon this car can go from 0 to 60 in no less than 13.2 seconds.
Under the hood the MINI First hides a 1.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 75 hp mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. As you can see the technology used here is far from being entry-level because the standard features are focused on fuel efficiency including a shift point indicator, auto start-stop, variable valve timing and regenerative braking.
The car will be sold for in UK for £10,950 ($17,950 USD) and unfortunately for the time being there’s no news about any Stateside release. We’ll keep you posted!

Today is the day when the world’s cheapest car – the Tata Nano will meet its first customer.
The Nano was introduced on the market back in 2008 and since then it has been the subject of numerous controversies. According to Tata Motors the buyer is anonymous for the time being and apparently he / her paid only 100,000 rupees ($2,053 U.S.) for this delicate beast.
This is money well spent because the level of CO2 emissions doesn’t exceed 101 grams while the Automotive Research Association of India rated the Tata Nano at 56 mpg US.
Even if the Nano is available only on the Indian market right now we can gladly announce you that a Euro-spec unit just passed European crash tests while an arrival on US soil will be scheduled in the nearest future.

After Paris and Lyon (France), Zürich (Switzerland) was the third European city that hosted the official presentation of Lamborghini’s Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni with a few UK cities waiting just around the corner.
In case you wonder who Valentini Balboni was, I’ll tell you that he will remain in history as Lamborghini’s longtime test driver.
Now back to the car… according to the specs list the Gallardo LP550-2 will hide under the hood a 550-hp version of the already famous V10 engine while boasting a 3,042-pound curb weight, transparent engine cover, Scorpious wheels covering bright yellow brake calipers and last but not least elegant black and white racing stripe painting. In addition to all that the car can run from 0 to 60 in only 3.9 seconds and it features a 199 mph top speed.

France breathes class and fashion through all its pores but unfortunately that doesn’t always include the auto segment. Of course we have the Bugatti Veyron and GtbyCitroen but every rule has its exceptions.
Considering all that, Peugeot decided to put a new spin on things with the new 308 RC Z model. This Audi TT-inspired automobile was officially introduced on the market in 2006 but three years had to pass for the French automaker to receive PSA’s approval for the swept-roof coupe to enter production. During all this time we had to satisfy our thirst with teaser pictures showing the beautiful 308 RC Z.
Good things happen to those who wait… so, after three long years Peugeot’s 308 RC Z will arrive at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show (September) riding on Mini JCW’s turbocharged engine.
