All fans of the beautiful Porsche Cayenne interested in power and speed should know that folks over at Techart worked their magic and unveiled an extraordinary Porsche Cayenne Diesel.

The classic model delivered 240 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque but this new vehicle rides on 290 horsies and 465 lb-ft and can go from 0 to 60 in only 7.7 seconds. Also, the modified torque curve has 1,000 rpm written all over but that’s not all. The most amazing thing about all that is that all this is now possible without disturbing the emissions number or the fuel economy.

Especially for the diesel sport, Techart designed the aggressive Aerokit 1 with 21-inch alloys and improved airflow.

Now, let’s talk business! The turnkey model with body kit and engine mods is currently being sold for £55,500 ($89,000 USD) while the Aerokit alone is priced at £15,000 ($24,000) and the engine kit will set you back no less than £2,500 ($4,000).

Spy shots, spy shots. Yeah, right! This time some people caught SPY SHOTS of the new Porsche 911 running on the public roads. The 998 got a few outside tweaks from what we could see, as most of the car was covered.

But the headlights are more vertical that the ones on the current 988 and there were side mirrors from the 993, which I hope were just put for testing purposes only. And in this last category we hope Porsche will put the exhaust outlets.

Nothing new about engines or performance, but stay tuned for more Spy stuff.

The first image and info about the new Porsche Panamera are now on the line

The picture below seems to be the only official image of the new four-door “coupe” Porsche Panamera. This new Panamera Grand Turismo has a few new improvements on the shape that make it rather slippery through air, but it kept the fat back side that I personally like. Along with the doors and wheels and other things that you expect in finding on a car, you will have an electronic air suspension, an LSD and the power can be sent to either the rear wheels or to all four.

Let’s talk engines, shall we? After all this is why we buy cars, right? Because they have engines and they make the wheels roll. So, the slowest, if I am allowed to put it like this, will be the 3.6-liter V6 with 300hp. Up on the ladder there is the 4.8-liter V8 Panamera S with a herd of 400 horses packed inside and at the top there is the Panamera Turbo with a twin-turbocharged version of the V8 that can put out about 500hp. We heard some rumors about a diesel version and a V6-hubrid with 350hp, but that won’t be available until later on.

Starting with the next year we will have on the road brand new Boxters and Cayman

Porsche seems to don’t give a damn that most of us don’t have time or money to buy new cars, as we are trapped in the economical crisis or we are simply broke. They keep doing their thing and keep bringing us bigger and better cars, like the new 2009 Boxter and Cayman. Both of these babies will benefit from the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe transmission or the PDK from the 911 Carrera PDK. Also they will have improved engines with direct injection. This means more power to burn on the road and improved fuel economy.
Porsche is throwing for the 2009 Boxter and Cayman two engines: one is a standard 2.9-liter flat-six with 255 hp and on the S models a 3.4 liter engine will ride with310hp. The beginning of 2009 will bring thee new rides in showrooms so we can see them live.

Porche announced that they might use four cylinders on the new Boxters

We all know that Porsche doesn’t have anything on the menu with less than six cylinders, but we also know that the German car maker stole our hearts with four cylinder engines, and the first to be mentioned here is the 356. But recently we heard a few birdies whispering something about the new Boxter to be having four cylinders.

The reason behind this seems to be the lowering of the emissions and fuel consumption, which is not a bad reason. But all this must be done without losing its customers. We will see how Porsche will balance all of these when the car will be out on the streets.
