The 2013 SL was revealed by Mercedes-Benz and it appears that its first official showing will be at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2012. This is the 6th generation of the SL and it uses a new platform, though the basic recipe remains the same one.

The engines installed on it will be V6 and V8 and they will be mounted longitudinally. There will be a RWD configuration. The thing that makes this model special is the folding roof made from metal, which needs 20 seconds for the conversion.

Compared with the previous model, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL has a bold look and surfaces that are cleaner. It has a radiator grille which is inspired from the SLS and it’s much more efficient from an aerodynamic point of view. It’s also the first Mercedes-Benz car to be made entirely from aluminum, which allows it to be lighter than its predecessor by up to 140kg.

The first engine will be a 3.5L V6 engine, which allows the car to reach 100km/h in 5.9 seconds. The second engine will be a 4.7L V8, which will be used on the SL500. This one allows the car to reach the 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds, thanks to the 429HP. The gearbox is an automated model with 7 speeds in both cases.

The 2012 model of the Mercedes SLK has been launched at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show and it's a very nice car, just as you might expect.

The 2012 Mercedes SLK was brought to the Geneva Auto Show and the design has been updated to include some of the ideas seen in other recent launches from the company. The SLK convertible has a vario-roof which has a Magic Sky Control, which can vary the roof’s tint, from bright to dark.

As for the engines of the 2012 Mercedes SLK, you can pick from the 1.8L or the 3.5L V6 (mounted on the SLK 350). The new SLK is already available in dealerships in Germany and it will also come to the United States during the summer of 2011.

The 2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe is a beautiful model that was just announced at the Auto Show from Geneva. Since this is a Mercedes, the interior has the quality materials that you can expect from them, as well as a steering wheel with a flat bottom, an aluminum trim and a comand display of 5.8 inches. You can also choose to have a GPS installed, an audio system from Harman/Kardon, a wood trim and front seats that are heated.

The diesel engines of the 2012 Mercedes Benz C-Class Coupe include a 2.1L diesel for the C220 CDI (231 km/h and 0-60 mph in 8.1 seconds) and a 2.1L with 201HP for the C250 CDI (240 km/h and 0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds).

Brabus will impress everyone with their new BlackBaron E V12.

Say hello to the new Black Baron E V12 from Brabus. With E-Class pedigree, this baby runs with a twin turbo, 6.3-liter V12 with 800 hp and an electronically-limited 811 lb-ft, a ram-air system and a tuned ECU. I said “limited” because the engine can produce about 1000lb-ft.

Brabus has on the list of improvements an adjustable suspension and bigger brakes and tires. To make the car run as fast as 217 mph, also electronically-limited, some tweaks were made to the body at the expense of the sexiness.

The car will also have another feature limited: the number. Only 10 will be made, each costing about 600.000 euros. Who said the world is in crysis?

Mercedes decided to put the engine from the C250 sedan on the new generation of SLK

For those sitting at home and wondering what will is Mercedes up to these days, have no fear, ‘for I am here. It seems that they will be hooking up the new SLK with a diesel engine. The German car maker won’t make a special-designed engine, instead they will use the 2.2-liter "BlueEfficiency" 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel that is currently under the hood of the C250 sedan.

A few tweaks will be made to make the car more environmental friendly, like particulate filter and rail injection. We will see if these modifications will make the new diesel SLK fit for the United States’ market, where all the hypocrites and trend-goers think that a car killed the ozone layer.

Hamann turns the Mercedes McLaren SLR into an even meaner machine

Tuner fans meet the new Mercedes McLaren SLR, the Hamann Volcano. It wasn’t enough that the stock model was powerful enough, the people at Hamann decided that all that wasn’t enough. We now have under this baby’s hood 700 hp and 612 lb.-ft. of torque – an increase of 74 hp and 37 lb.-ft., respectively. But that is not all, a new water pump will cool things off when it will all get too hot. This supercar goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and the top speed is now 9 mph higher, like the speed we got until now wasn’t enough and also useless for the road.

There will also be some carbon fiber to make out the wings and the skirts and also a new hood, diffuser and front spoiler, all to keep these running smooth and cut the air like a hot knife through butter. Me, for one, I am not impressed by these kinds of fast cars, but others are and have the resources to buy them and places to drive them.
